LDA Armenia delegate Lusine Aleksandryan facilitated a training “Community involvement in decision-making processes and deliberative democracy” for the youth groups from 8 communities of Shirak region. The training was initiated by “Women for Development” NGO in the frames of 2- day sessions on “Community project -proposal drafting”. The participants gained knowledge on community issues rising, ways to solve them and reflect in the proposals to the donors and local authorities. Lusine’s training targeted legal framework that allows citizens to participate in the decision-making processes, city council and community leader responsibilities and obligations defined by law and the principles of naming and framing the issues methodology suggested by Kettering foundation.
